Spring Break, Day 3

17 04 2008

I woke up late again, but I still went to Griffith Observatory! I keep expecting these museums to be humongous, but they’re actually all pretty small. It’s always crowded, too. There was an elementary school group at Griffith today. Once again, I was sort of bummed out because I felt rushed and obligated to move if the kids were be near me, squirming to take a look at what I was looking at. Anyway, for $0, it was worth it. There’s also a beautiful scene of the city. Too bad we have so much pollution that you can’t really examine the details.

Planets!

Einstein.

A humongous telescope to see stars.

This was some plug they used to the telescope. You can see me smiling at the mirror side. : )

Compiled 4 images to get the table of elements.

I combined 4 pictures to make this panoramic cityscape. Yay!

That’s how close the Griffith is to the Hollywood sign.
