May Is For Mother’s Day
9 05 2008
So I’m up at 2 in the morning editing and printing out photos of my Sunday school fourth graders to paste in their handmade Mother’s Day cards and I glance by one of the cards with this message:
“I love U because… you made me and I appreciate that, if I wasn’t alive, I would be nothing and I won’t know anything in the world and eat all the tasty foods you make me and I would have no friends, knowing God and Jesus.”
Despite the fact that it’s a long run-on sentence and commas are used liberally and incorrectly, it’s one darn sweet message. That’s one more little thing that makes me excited to be a mother one day.
So, Happy early Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there! I’m posting this early because I’ll be spending Mother’s Day weekend in a tent and destroying rocks with a used rock hammer that cost $30. Geology field trip. Oh, yay.
